Jody Dean Harper

Jody Dean Harper, 64, died Friday, July 25, 2025, at Baptist East in Montgomery. He was preceded in death by his parents Kermit and Genevia Askins Harper of Shelby County, Alabama. He is survived by his wife of 17 years Amanda; and his sons Brandon (Hannah) McGinty of Tallassee and their son Kyle, and Travis Harper of Birmingham and his son and daughter. Jody worked as a plant supervisor at various locations before moving to Notasulga in 2008 and accepting the plant manager position at Vulcan Materials in Loachapoka. He loved spending time with his wife and grandson Kyle whenever he could. He also enjoyed deep sea fishing, dominos, and riding motorcycles. His family will announce a memorial service at a later date.
